At the next meeting of LibertyCenter council, look for an ordinance for a pay increase for employees in the village. Council verbally approved the measure, calling for a 2% increase moving forward in the years ahead.
A bid opening is scheduled on June 17th for LibertyCenter’s second oxidation ditch project. The estimated cost for this work is about $310,000, with a grant supplying about $155,000 of the final proposal.
Due to high cost estimates for chipping and mulching a huge brush pile in Liberty Center, council has decided to go with a controlled burn of the material. The fire department will be contacted in the next few weeks.
Look for construction work on state route 109 just south of LibertyCenter at Dry Creek. A pre-construction meeting is set for Friday, with the project time-frame set at 60 days.
Residents should also be aware that First Energy will be upgrading their transmission lines between LibertyCenter and Napoleon on road V during the next few weeks.
