A voluntary recall of meat has been announced by a Defiance company.  FortDefiance Meats on South Clinton Street, Defiance has announced the voluntary recall of individual random weight kippered beef packages in the following flavors:  hot, barbecue, peppered, regular, Cajun, kippered beef with jalapenos, and mesquite.

The voluntary recall also includes snack sticks in jalapeno and cheddar flavors, with a pack-on date of July 12th, and regular snack sticks from FortDefiance meats with a pack-on date of July 7th.

Inspectors found there were no cooking records for these periods.  There have been no reports of illnesses; but any concerns should be taken-up with your family physician.  The recalled products were sold at the Fort Defiance Store in Defiance, and at two local convenience stores in the Defiance area.
