NAPOLEON PLANNING-PERMANENT MORATORIUM-MED. MARIJ.

After a recommendation from Napoleon Council, the city planning commission has voted unanimously to back a permanent moratorium for medical marijuana cultivation or retail sales in the city limits.   The major factor stated by the planning commission was the difference in state law approving medical marijuana, while the federal government does not.   This recommendation now goes back to the full Napoleon city council on Monday.         If federal law would change, Napoleon Council would likely have to re-evaluate their municipal moratorium on medical marijuana.   There were no visitors at the public hearing for the planning commission.
