HENRY COUNTY CIC OPENS NEW YEAR WITH CONTACTS

A new year is underway for the Henry County Community Improvement Corporation, under the leadership of Dan Brubaker as president, and Greg Beck as vice president, with Lyndsey Lucas serving as secretary-treasurer.

The Tuesday meeting included an update on 3 contacts about expansion in Henry County.  Two are unidentified manufacturing companies considering Napoleon for a site.

The CIC will be partnering with the city of Napoleon in the transfer of property adjacent to the old railroad viaduct area along East Riverview, going to World Class Collission for an expansion project.

Henry County CIC executive director Denise Dahl has created a business retention and expansion survey for local companies.

And a survey is being scheduled to survey area counties to compare rates of taxation, workforce, utilities and more.

A once vacant manufacturing site in Napoleon is now occupied, with the recent purchase of the Universal Cooperatives facility.   Oldcastle is using a portion of the facility for warehousing some plastic products, and Axios of Archbold is distributing products from a portion of the building.
