DEFIANCE COMMISSIONERS REVIEW HOUSING IMPR. GRANT

The Defiance County Commissioners reviewed the proposal to seek funding in the community housing improvement program or CHIP.  Going through Maumee Valley Planning Organization, over 1.1 million dollars will be applied for, covering Defiance and Paulding Counties, along with the city of Defiance.   The grant request includes 13 homes each in Defiance and Paulding Counties that need help, along with 12 in the city of Defiance.   The grant request would also seek funds to help 5 families with rental payment assistance.                           

Defiance County Commissioners also approved a new electric aggregation agreement with Dynegy for the county senior center.
