WORLEY TO BE SENTENCED IN FULTON COUNTY WEDNESDAY

The long court ordeal for the family of Sierra Joughin of rural Metamora in Fulton County may come to a close today, with sentencing set for the convicted killer, James Worley of rural Delta.   The Fulton County jury of 8 women and 4 men returned a verdict of Guilty on all counts, including Aggravated Murder for James Worley.   That same jury returned the following week in the Fulton County Common Pleas Court, and recommended the death penalty for the defendant.   But the final say on sentencing will be up to Judge Jeffrey Robinson, who will announce that sentence at a hearing scheduled around 1pm.              The options for Judge Robinson are the same as the jury considered:  the death penalty, life in prison without parole, life in prison with parole after 30 years, or life in prison with parole after 25 years.

Worley has been held at the northwest Ohio regional jail ever since his arrest in connection with the crime back in 2016.
