NW OHIO COMMUNITIES RECEIVE EPA FUNDS FOR SEWERS

Several northwest Ohio communities will benefit from funding from the Ohio EPA to enhance water quality.  Henry, Defiance, Fulton, Putnam, and Williams Counties are part of a 17 county region that will split about 3.2 million dollars in principal forgiveness funds to help replace failing home sewage treatment systems.

And the city of Defiance was awarded 4.3 million dollars in a grant to eliminate combined sewers.  The money will be utilized to install storm sewers on College Place and East High Street in Defiance.
