New Bride Looking For Thief Who Stole Her Wedding Dress

An Indiana bride is desperately seeking the return of her wedding dress after it was stolen from the trunk of her husband's car. Jessica Blackwell said that her husband was going to drop the dress off to be dry-cleaned following their outdoor wedding and had placed it in the trunk of his car. Sometime on Sunday (November 11) night, a thief broke into his vehicle, rummaging through the glove box before finding the expensive dress in the trunk.

After calling the police, Jessica posted to Facebook hoping that somebody might recognize the dress if the thief tried to resell it.

PLEASE share in the off chance someone sees it posted somewhere.

It’s a size 14 Morilee dress that’s been altered a lot on top and through the waist with a long train and a sheer core. Its blush and champagne in color.

Mrs. Blackwell spoke with Fox 59 and said that she doesn't care who took her dress, she would just like them to return it.

"Whoever did this, they have to be at a pretty low place in their life and I just hope that I know that they're hurting, but I hope they know that they can just leave it on the porch," she said.  "You'll feel better about yourself. You'll feel better about what your decisions are. Just please bring it back, because it's really important to us."

She explained that the worst part of having her wedding dress stolen is knowing that she will never be able to hand the dress down to her children.

"Just to know that it's gone I'll never be able to hand it down. I'll never be able to give it to my kids. Even like parts of it," Jessica said.
