WILLIAMS HIGHWAY CREW HONORED FOR RESPONSE

How would you respond if you drove upon an accident scene with injuries?  Four members of the Williams County highway department just happened to be travelling Henry County for a training program in October.   Their path took them to the intersection of state route 110 and county road 7, where two vehicles collided.                 Two young women were injured in the crash, but the good news for them was an EMT and three other good Samaritans were in that vehicle transporting the Williams County men.   The EMT bandaged wounds, and the others assisted victims and cleared the highway and directed traffic to prevent another accident.                 Liberty Center fire and Rescue responded to the scene, and were thoroughly impressed with the work of the four Williams County men.  The Henry County Sheriff’s office and Liberty Center fire department have awarded the ‘highway heroes’ honor to Preston Thiel, Tyler Seaman, Chuck Mason, and Dalton Beck.
