SNAP BENEFITS SENT EARLY DUE TO GOVT. SHUTDOWN

Food stamp recipients across northwest Ohio will be getting next month’s benefits early, due to the federal government shutdown.  County officials say SNAP cards are being loaded with clients’ benefits for February because of the uncertainty in Washington DC.   Families are urged to make the benefits last until the end of next month.    No extra food dollar benefits will be added in February.

Individuals who are applying for new food benefits, or completing recertification applications are highly encouraged to provide documentation to their county Job and Family Services as soon as possible.
