FORMER NAPOLEON SCHOOL COACH FOUND GUILTY ON 3 OF 12 COUNTS OF SEXUAL OFF.

A former Napoleon coach and teacher has been found guilty on 3 of 12 counts of sexual offenses in Henry County Common Pleas Court. The jury returned their verdicts against Randy Burke after about 6 hours of deliberation Thursday night.The Henry County jury heard three days of testimony, and then found Burke guilty on a felony count of Gross Sexual Imposition, for an incident where a cross country athlete’s inner shorts were pulled down slightly.He was found guilty on two other misdemeanor counts of sexual imposition.Randy Burke was found not guilty on 9 other charges in the case.But the three counts where a guilty verdict was rendered all require the defendant to register his address with local authorities as a sex offender.The maximum penalty for the gross sexual imposition conviction is 6-18 months in prison; but there is also the possibility of no prison time.The maximum penalty for sexual imposition is 60 days in jail.Sentencing for Burke will take place on September 4th in Henry County Court.
