Halsey Unveils DKNY Collaboration To Raise Awareness About Homeless Youth

ENTERTAINMENT: NOV 27 ARIA Music Awards

Halsey is doing some good for the holidays.

In partnership with DKNY, the “Graveyard” singer has created a white limited-edition, unisex hoodie that features a painted apple, illustrated by the pop star herself. “This holiday season, @dkny & I collaborated on a limited edition hoodie where ALL PROCEEDS will go to @myfriendsplace - an organization that provides resources to the homeless youth of Los Angeles!!!!!” the 25-year-old announced via Instagram Tuesday (December 10) with a visual teaser for her exclusive apparel.

Retailed for $79, all proceeds of the hoodie will benefit the LA-based organization, which offers comprehensive services to nearly 1,400 homeless youth between the ages of 12 and 25, and their children, each year.

As someone who has experienced homelessness before, My Friend’s Place holds a special place in Halsey’s heart. At the Ending Youth Homelessness: A Benefit for My Friend’s Place event earlier this year, the “Nightmare” star recalled how she nearly entered a life of sex work when she was homeless in New York City. “My friends were picking out decorations for their dorms, and I was debating on whether or not I should let a stranger inside of me so I could pay for my next meal,” she shared at the time, adding, “a series of unfortunate circumstances lead me to be in that position, and it can happen to absolutely anyone.”
