FATAL CRASH TUESDAY EVENING IN HENRY COUNTY

A two-vehicle collision Tuesday evening in Henry County resulted in fatal injuries for one of the drivers. The Henry County Sheriff’s office was dispatched to the intersection of state route 34, and county road 24 at 6:17pm that night. The report indicates 30 year old Robert Hawk of Archbold was traveling southbound, and had stopped at the intersection, but then pulled into the path of an eastbound motorcycle operated by 49 year old William Stahler of Montpelier. The Stahler motorcycle struck the auto, causing William Stahler to be ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene, while Hawk was not injured. Assisting at the scene were Ridgeville and Archbold rescue units along with Life Flight.
