NORTHWEST STATE CC BOARD APPROVES $3.3 MILLION SOLAR & CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

At their trustee meeting Friday, the Northwest State Community College Board approved a more than 3.3 million dollar solar and construction project. The energy improvements will include solar arrays, along with new controls and lighting, and upgrades to HVAC systems at the campus.

The Northwest State Community College Board also administered the oath of office to their newest board member, Katrina DeGroff of Fulton County. She is senior vice president and Chief Financial Officer for the Farmers and Merchants State Bank. DeGroff replaces Sue Derck, who’s term expired in June of this year.

Derck was approved for Emeritus status at the campus.

In personnel action, the Northwest State Community College Board approved Matthew Hancock as facilities technician, Todd Kent in maintenance, Alexis Mills as assistant in Financial Aid, Lena Yedica was approved as administrative assistant in Arts and Sciences, and the following employees were named to faculty slots: Thomas Plummer, Jr-Industrial Technology Manufacturing, and Erik Jones-Industrial Technology Automation.
