It’s a battle of the superheros in the box office, but “Deadpool 2” is coming out on top. The movie brought in a whopping $125-million knocking out “Avengers: Infinity War” from the top spot. The movie, starring Ryan Reynolds as the foul-mouthed Deadpool, even scored the second-highest debut ever for an R-rated movie.However, the movie did come in under the industry projection of $130-million to $150-million.
It did bring in some heavy coin from overseas at $176.3-million rounding out its total to the tune of $301.3-million.Though “Infinity War” did drop a spot in the box office, it still did pretty well as far as numbers go. Domestically it brought in $28.7-million for its fourth weekend and saw $84.4-million overseas. Its total has officially broke 1-billion at $1.8-billion worldwide. Jane Fonda’s “Book Club” also premiered this weekend scoring the number three spot in the box office.
