This crowded summer movie season welcomed another big name player this weekend. The fifth installment of "Jurassic Park Series" certainly made its splash. "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" scored over $150 million from audiences domestically. Personally, I believe we see the latter half of Summer movie season moving forward. "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" (in my opinion) marked the end of the first half of summer releases.
While its not my favorite film series, I have enjoyed all of these films. At some point, I will get to this one in theaters. I enjoyed "Jurassic World" and it's play off the original three movies. Take a look at this trailer if you haven't seen it already!
The rest of the field still scored very well. I'm expecting next weekend to look pretty similar, with no major shakeups. Here's this weekend's top 5:
1. "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" - $150,001,000
2. "Incredibles 2" - $80,928,000
3. "Ocean's 8"- $11,650,000
4. Tag- $8,200,000
5. "Deadpool 2"- $5,250,000
