#SOCIOPATHS: These are DEAD GIVEAWAYS your colleague is a SOCIOPATH!

Here’s a stat that’s going to make you look forward to going back to work in the office even less. Did you know it’s currently estimated that one in 25 Americans are sociopaths? So, there’s a pretty good chance you’ve been exchanging emails and Zoom calls with one of them this whole time.

Here are some signs that might prove it for you:

● They Struggle To Tell The Truth. A major red flag for someone with an antisocial personality disorder is that they simply lie a lot. Not just your everyday office white lies like “that shirt looks great on you.” We’re talking about lying just for the sake of lying.

● Your Co-Worker Is A Great Charmer. Sociopaths make a great salesperson. They’re usually quite gifted with words and know how to get what they want from someone.

● They Struggle To Connect With People On A Personal Level. If that one coworker you feel like you vibe with isn’t accepting your invites for happy hour, it might not be you after all. Sociopaths rarely can form close personal relationships. They can turn on the charm but due to their inability to feel empathy, they’re probably not close friends with any of their coworkers.

● They Only Worry About Themselves. If your coworker has made it clear that they only build relationships that benefit them in some way, they might be a sociopath. Then again, they could just be a little selfish or the best networker in the world depending on how you look at it.

In other words, them simply putting the ‘me’ in ‘team’ isn’t a dead giveaway that they’re a serial killer.
