TRAFFIC STOP IN DEFIANCE COUNTY LEADS TO DRUG ARREST

A traffic stop in Defiance County led to a drug arrest Friday (today)around 8:30am.The Defiance County Sheriff’s office conducted the traffic stop on state route 127, near route 18.The defendant, 53 year old Luther Vance of Edgerton was found to be wanted on a felony warrant, and further investigation revealed a significant amount of suspected methamphetamine in the vehicle.Luther Vance was charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Aggravated Possession of Drugs over Bulk.The suspect was transported to the regional jail, with an arraignment in court scheduled for Monday.The file was also turned over to Defiance County prosecutor Morris Murray for review, and possible presentation to the grand jury.
