DEFIANCE COUNCIL WORKS OUT SETTLEMENT FOR COLLEGE PLACE PROJECT

The city of Defiance has worked out a settlement with a contractor on a pending legal claim regarding a construction project.The issue was with Helms and Sons of Findlay for the work they did on the College Place rebuild, and the multi-use space they worked-on.The problem was with the multi-use space, and the legal claim has now been resolved.

And Defiance Council approved the purchase of four-tenths of an acre of property along Quality Drive, which will now house the city’s salt barn for road de-icing.That will bring the street department, water, parks and cemetery departments in one location.
