JULY 2020 UNEMPLOYMENT TUMBLES DOWNWARD IN NW OHIO

The July jobless numbers in northwest Ohio tumbled downward for another month.Ohio Job and Family Services reports every county in the region was below the state average of 9.1% for unemployment.

Henry County’s jobless rate dropped from 9.4% in June, to 7.4% in July.

Fulton County fell even more, from 9.3 to 7.1%.

Defiance County’s unemployment rate declined from 9.8 to 7.5% in July.

Williams County’s rate was reduced from 9 to 7.4% last month.

Lowest in the region was Putnam County with a jobless rate of 5.2%, while Wood County was at 7.3%, and Paulding County at 7.1.

The lowest unemployment in the Buckeye State last month was Holmes County at 4.1%, while Cuyahoga County checked-in with the highest jobless rate, at 12.9%.
