EARLY NUMBERS BIG ON OPENING DAY OF IN-PERSON VOTING FOR 2020 ELECTION

If you thought Ohioans were itching to get to the polls to cast their ballot in the 2020 general election, you are right.All over northwest Ohio, registered voters stood in line on the first day of early voting, taking advantage of their legal right to choose their candidates and issues.Henry County reported just over 200 early voters on opening day, Tuesday.Fulton County had 349 early in-person voters at the board of elections by late afternoon.And the number in Defiance County was 475 early voters.The county board of elections are open 8am till 5pm for early voting over the next couple of weeks, with extended hours coming later in the month.These boards will even be open on Columbus Day to accept early voting.Absentee ballots went-out in the mail yesterday, including nearly 3,300 sent to Henry County residents.Those absentee ballots can be returned by mail, or dropped-off in each county board of elections drop-box adjacent to their office.
