The Defiance County Prosecutor’s Office and Defiance Police Department have announced the arrest of a Liberty Center man in connection with sex offenses that allegedly occurred in Defiance from late March to early April. As a result of the investigation, 38 year old Tyler Vorst of Liberty Center has been charged with Pandering Sexually Oriented Matter involving a Minor or Impaired Person, a 2nd degree felony. Additional charges are expected to be presented to the Defiance County Grand Jury against Vorst. Law officers executed a search warrant on Monday of this week at Haven Holistic Services, in the 400 block of East Second Street in Defiance.
The search warrant was the result of a joint investigation involving the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Defiance County Prosecutor’s Office, and Defiance Police Department. The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force utilizes law officers from the local, state and federal levels.
