While preparing for her Halloween wedding, San Antonio teacher Kathleen Sanchez’s black wedding gown was stolen from the doorstep of her apartment. The dress had taken about two weeks to arrive, and Sanchez feared a replacement wouldn’t come in time for the ceremony. Although the dress wasn’t particularly expensive, the loss was emotional.
After her story was shared, a stranger contacted the bride-to-be and offered to purchase the same dress for her. The replacement gown arrived in time for the wedding, allowing her to celebrate her ceremony with her fiancé, Andres Martinez, and loved ones. Sanchez shares that the kind stranger delivered the gown to her school and offered supportive words.
She describes the experience as emotional and says she’s grateful for the kindness she received. The gesture made her feel supported during an important life moment. Photos from the wedding show her smiling in the gothic-style gown surrounded by family and friends.
