Selena Gomez is giving her Only Murders in the Building co-star, Martin Short, a very special role at her wedding.

The "Lose You To Love Me" star revealed Short's anticipated involvement in her and Benny Blanco's big day during the March 27th episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, remarking on the actor's ability to give a good speech.

"But Marty is due to give a speech. I told him he must. Steve [Martin] will probably pull out his banjo, but I feel like Marty would have an epic speech."

Gomez, Martin, and Short have grown so close over the years that the actors refer to themselves as Gomez's "two weird uncles." Martin even shared a congratulatory message to social media following the "Who Says" songstress's engagement announcement in December that read, "Congratulations to Benny and Selena, from her two weird uncles."

Gomez commented on The Pink Panther star's funny communication style in a January episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, explaining that the 79-year-old doesn't like to text.

"Steve made sure he sent my assistant an email so my assistant could tell me congratulations. That’s how he communicates. He always tries to be polite. And it’s very kind, but it’s okay to send a little text."

Short, on the other hand, was sour about the engagement, joking that Blanco should have asked his permission before popping the question.
